DOT Numbers do not require renewals but must be updated every two years via the MCS150 Biennial Update per Federal Regulation FMCSR 390.201 and such updates must be filed on a specific month and year as indicated in said regulation.

Hoffenmer does not solicit its services. This message is simply a reminder about a required federal update. We had obtained your phone number from the FMCSA (DOT) Database. We were unable to contact you via email and as such are attempting to remind you about the Biennial Update via a text message. You may file this update with any other filing agent, however Hoffenmer provides this service at the lowest processing fee on the market and as such we extend our help to you in completing this update (see link below).
Is This Update Required?
Yes, the biennial update is required for every U.S. DOT Number, regardless of how long it has been active (in business). You can read about the official regulation, FMCSR 390.201 by clicking here. Failure to complete a Biennial Update may result in deactivation of your USDOT number and may result in civil penalties of up to $1,000 per day, not to exceed $10,000.
